Kenneth “Patricio” Smith is the Founder and Managing Partner of Smith Alston, PLC, a bi-lingual (Spanish) law firm specializing in Serious Injury/ Wrongful Death Law and Immigration Law. Ken has practiced law in Arizona for over 33 years and is fluent in Spanish. Ken is one of the most recognized and respected attorneys in the Hispanic Community in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2011, Ken was recognized by his peers as one of Arizona’s “Finest Attorneys”.

From 1976 to 1978, Ken served a mission for the LDS Church in Chile, an experience which Ken freely admits changed and blessed his life ever since.

In 1981, Ken received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University. In 1985, Ken graduated from the Pepperdine University School of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree. During his second year of law school, Ken also completed the Institute of International and Comparative Law in Mexico City sponsored by the University of San Diego School of Law.

Ken has served as a Pro Tem Judge for Maricopa County Superior Courts since 2005, assigned to the Justice Courts since 2005. Ken has many connections, contacts and long-time friends in the Hispanic Community, Diplomatic Corps and within the local Hispanic Media, all who know him as “Patricio Smith”.

In 2011, Ken was voted the “Friend of the Year Award” by the Hispanic Community for his help and leadership in helping to replace one of Arizona’s most notorious anti-Hispanic Legislators.

In 2012 Ken was appointed by the President of Chile to serve as the Honorary Consul for Chile in Arizona. He is currently serving as the Vice-Chairman the Consular Corps of Arizona.

Ken also provides expert political advice and arranges media contacts for local, state and federal candidates who are seeking the votes and financial support of the Hispanic Community. Over the last 25 years, Ken has been interviewed literally thousands of times by local Spanish Radio Stations, dozens of times by Spanish Television stations such as Univision and Telemundo as well as the local Hispanic newspaper, La Prensa Hispana.

Ken is married to the former Minyon Romney Smith. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren!

Cónsules unidos combaten el hambre entre sus compatriotas

El Cónsul General de México, Jorge Mendoza y el Cónsul Honorario de Chile, Patricio Smith, en cooperación con los Consulados Generales de Guatemala y El Salvador, en conjunto con el Cuerpo Consular de Arizona, y su Director Ejecutivo, Enrique Meléndez, organizaron un gran evento el viernes, 22 de enero 2021, para entregar aproximadamente 100 órdenes de comida a 100 familias de inmigrantes de México, Chile, Guatemala y El Salvador.

La comida de alta calidad entregada fue donada por el Banco de comida United Food Bank, bajo la supervisión de Dave Richins, Presidente de dicha institución. Las raciones entregadas están dirigidas a familias de 4 personas para una semana.

Las órdenes de comida fueron entregadas a domicilio por 35 misioneros de la Iglesia de Jesucristo De Los Últimos Santos de los Últimos Días de la Misión de Arizona en Phoenix, con la bendición de su Presidente, Brik Eyre. Los jóvenes misioneros, con un año y medio a dos años de voluntariado, llevaron y entregaron los Kits de alimentos alrededor de todo Phoenix.
