Hank Marshall, Vice President of Operations – Clearflow Group US Inc.
In January 2021, Hank Marshall joined Clearflow Group US Inc. as Vice President of Operations. In his role, he is responsible for scaling up global production capability at the Phoenix facility, growing North American sales and driving exports.
Prior to joining Cleaflow Group US Inc. Hank worked at the City of Phoenix as the Economic Development Executive Officer. In that role, he oversaw the department’s International, Workforce and Sister City programs. The team is charged with the pursuit of opportunity that advances economic prosperity for the city of Phoenix.
Previously, Hank Marshall served as Senior Vice President of International at the Arizona Commerce Authority. He was one of the key executives that assisted with the launching of the novel state-wide public-private economic development enterprise.
In 2002, Hank Marshall founded Aisle21, a Phoenix-based consultancy specializing in international business strategies. Until 2010, he served as the dynamic leader of the organization in the capacity of Chief Enabling Officer. As a widely recognized authority on international business development, he has been able to provide a portfolio of unique services to multi-national corporate clients. Key areas of focus are international due diligence, contract negotiation, international corporate intelligence, intellectual property protection, site selection, product/service commercialization, ramp-up/implementation strategies and compliance. For almost 10 years, Aisle21 has served the needs of foreign companies with their inbound US interests while at the same time serving US companies with their outbound global interests and activities.
Prior to establishing Aisle21 in 2002, Mr. Marshall spent 20 years in engineering in executive level positions in both the private and public sector. He has worked for many major companies such as Halston, Tetley, Johnson and Johnson, Avery International, Warner Lambert and Pfizer.
Having been raised in foreign countries (Venezuela, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands) and having traveled extensively to many other foreign countries, Mr. Marshall has developed a very keen sense of the challenges and intricacies of doing business internationally.
His skills and experience were vital to the contributions that he made while working for corporations operating internationally in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, personal health care, food and beverage and confectionery industries. The majority of his efforts involved strategic rationalization for technology commercialization and deployment. The scope of the various projects involved such things as joint ventures, in-country partnerships, technology licensing, acquisition, expansion, consolidation and new market entry. Over the years, Mr. Marshall won coveted corporate awards as well as awards from government, industry and associations for outstanding performance and contributions.
Mr. Marshall also spent 6 years as the Vice-Consul of Trade for the British Consulate in Phoenix, Arizona. His main role at the Consulate was to provide comprehensive business development services to British businesses looking at or participating in foreign markets. In 2005, Mr. Marshall was appointed the British Honorary Consul for the State of Arizona, where he continues to serve the needs of British nationals and British companies.
Mr. Marshall is a member of many professional associations, is a frequent guest lecturer and is active in business and academic mentoring.
