About Consul Chan
Michael Corey Chan served as Chairman of the Consular Corps of Arizona from 2012-2016, and also as Estonia's Honorary Consul in the State of Arizona from December 2010 to July 2018. His appointment was re-accredited to San Diego, CA and Clark County, Nevada in August of 2018. His Excellency was bestowed upon the title of Prince of Cariati by the Royal House of Italy under the patronage of Princess Marie Elisabeth de Balkany. The title was formally granted by the Head of the House of Savoy - His Royal Highness Vittorio Emanuele.
His Excellency is a Human Resources Leader, and a member of the Board of Directors for Caritas in Veritate. He has been presented with various honors by the Royal Family of Hawaii, Royal House of Georgia, House of Bourbon Two Sicilies, The Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara in Uganda, a Papal Ambassador, leadership and Charity Award. His family are proprietors of the fashion label Lafayette 148 NY with operations in New York City and China.
When time permits, he enjoys supporting various charities/organizations, snowboarding, traveling, and walks with his two dogs. Prince Michael is fluent in Spanish, Chinese and English. He was awarded a second degree (Nidan) black belt in Jiu Jitsu by the International Bujutsu University - Imperial Temple of Japan.
